RAJ KISHORE GUPTA FOUNDATION
About the Foundation
The Raj Kishore Gupta Foundation is an Indian arts foundation established to represent and champion artists whose dedication and practice have often remained unseen despite decades of work. It seeks to create meaningful opportunities for both established and emerging voices.
Founded by Aashita Gupta, (daughter of artist R.K Gupta) the Foundation is built on the belief that art is one of humanity’s most universal languages, one that transcends geography, culture, and generation.
It is committed to nurturing enduring relationships with its artists and making long-term investments in their creative journeys as painters, printmakers, sculptors, and multidisciplinary practitioners.
Looking ahead, the Foundation envisions itself as an institution of and for the future. Through exhibitions, research initiatives, and collaborations with collectors and institutions, it seeks to contribute to the growth of significant public and private collections across India while building a shared lineage between master artists and contemporary voices.

The Founder’s Vision
For founder Aashita Gupta, art has never been confined to galleries or museums. Having studied abroad and interned with leading organisations across different sectors, she came to recognise that creativity is a universal language, one that people express and understand in countless ways, regardless of profession or background.
Growing up in the home of artist Raj Kishore Gupta, she witnessed firsthand the discipline, patience, and lifelong commitment required to sustain an artistic practice. That proximity cultivated deep respect for the individuals who dedicate themselves to creating it.
Yet her experiences also revealed a difficult reality: many exceptional artists across India continue to work without the recognition, representation, or institutional support they deserve. The Raj Kishore Gupta Foundation emerged from this understanding and from a desire to help bridge that gap by creating platforms where artists can be seen, celebrated, and remembered.
Our Mission
The Foundation is driven by a commitment to strengthen India’s artistic ecosystem through thoughtful representation, meaningful exhibitions, and sustained engagement with artists and audiences alike.
Above all, the Foundation believes that every artist deserves the opportunity to have their work experienced, valued, and placed within the larger narrative of India’s cultural history.
